Die Methode, die in den letzten 8 Jahren stetig verbessert wurde, vereint Einfachheit, Effizienz und Haltbarkeit zu einem noch besseren Mahlerlebnis. Sette 270 bietet außergewöhnlich genaue Mahleinstellungen nicht nur für die Espressozubereitung, sondern auch für eine Vielzahl verschiedener Methoden des Handbrühens.
Das Sette 270 verfügt über eine programmierbare Dosis und die Mahlzeit für jede Dosis wird in Sekunden programmiert. Das Schwestermodell 270Wi von Sette hat eine eingebaute Waage und die Programmierung erfolgt durch Angabe der gewünschten Menge nach Gewicht mit einer Genauigkeit von 0,1 Gramm.
Mahlwerk
40 mm Stahl-Kegelmahlwerke erzeugen 3,5 – 5,5 Gramm Mahlgut mit verringerter Menge an Feinstaub (abhängig von der Mahleinstellung) pro Sekunde. Der Hersteller, die Firma Etzinger, schätzt die optimale Nutzungsdauer der Mahlwerke auf einige Jahre. Die Reinigung ist sehr einfach, da die Mahlwerke leicht entfernt und installiert werden können.
Mahlverstellung
Sette 270 bietet 30 Stufen der Makroverstellung und eine stufenlose Mikroverstellung basierend auf 9 Indikatoren für mehr Kontrolle. Im Grunde genommen wählen wir die Mahlgröße mit der Makroskala und nehmen dann die Mikroeinstellung vor, um unser Rezept so ausgezeichnet wie möglich zu machen. Eine große Palette von Mahlgrößenoptionen ermöglicht es, köstliche Espressos sowie Handbrühungen oder Pour Overs wie Drip, Aeropress oder Chemex zu brühen.
Design und Bedienung
Die Mühle ist mit einem Bedienfeld ausgestattet, das 3 Tasten und einen LCD-Bildschirm enthält. Wir können unsere Dosis leicht programmieren, indem wir die Mahlzeit einstellen. Nachdem die Dosis eingestellt wurde, drücken wir einfach die START-Taste und der Mahlautomat beginnt automatisch mit der Ausgabe der gewünschten Menge.
Ein Universalhalter ist ein weiteres nützliches Feature. Wir können den Siebträger oder eines der populärsten Aufbrühgeräte (v60, Clever oder Able Kone) während des Betriebs der Mahlwerke fixieren. Das Mahlen direkt in die Geräte macht die Arbeit mit der Sette 270 schneller und angenehmer.
Das Mahlwerk selbst sieht modern aus und ist kompakt, mit Metall- und Kunststoffelementen. Dank seiner Abmessungen passt das Sette 270 auf jede Küchenarbeitsplatte oder sogar die kleinste Kaffeebar.

Jauhatuksen karkeuden säädöt eivät ole omassa käytössä millään tavalla tulleet edukseen.

Tehokas, sotkuisa prototyyppi
Tehokas ja helppokäyttöinen. Jauhettu kahvi sinkoaa voimalla ja kimpoaa minne sattuu, käsittämätön sotku on taattu aina. Portafilterin pidikkeet ovat löysät ja kumitiivisteet pyörivät niin että kahva tippuu välillä pidikkeistä. Macro-säädin on jäykkä ja siten hankala säätää kun lähestytään asteikon päätyä.

Päätin satsata parempaan kahvimyllyyn, kun vanha irtisanoi virkasuhteensa. Jonkin aikaa tutkailtuani eri malleja päädyin Sette 270 myllyyn.
Valmistan pääasiassa kahvini Aeropressillä, ja lähitulevaisuudessa on tarkoitus ostaa espressokeitin. Parin viikon käyttökokemuksella mylly jauhaa hyvin tasalaatuista kahvia, ja Aeropressillä keittäminen onnistuu loistavasti.
Myllyä markkinoidaan soveltuvaksi espressolle sekä muille kahvinvalmistusmenetelmille. Chemexille kuitenkaan en tätä myllyä voi suositella, sillä karkeimmilla asetuksilla jauhatuksen sekaan tulee epätasaisuuksina myös melko paljon hienoa jauhatusta, joka sakkaa Chemexin uuton pahasti. Tilasin Baratzalta erikseen varaosana karkeamman terän (BG Burr), jolla Chemexillä uuttamisen pitäisi onnistua, mutta nähtäväksi jää millaista jälki tulee olemaan.

If look for a good grinder to make an espresso - it is a very good choice
While I didn't put 5,I still recommend it because it allows to build very precise grind for any coffee and equipment combination.
A few downsides - do miss a small modification that is required to get espresso grind size. A box has everything to make it possible.
Also the preferred way to grind for the espresso is directly to portafilter, but this grinder generates a little bit if wind making coffee to be spread around the kitchen) Eventually I got used to it to avoid this effect, but for portafilter of 25 gram still use additional cup to grind into.
So far so good. This is of the latests revisions.
Shipment was quick. This grinder is a very capable grinder; fast, very little retention, and very consistent grind and fluffy, clump-free. It has some fame of giving trouble after some time (1 year or 18 months), but for this price, and the ease of repair it has, you can get away changing the gearbox (which is made of plastic) and keep it running for long.
A very important point, is that this very product is of the latest produced (serial starting with 220, meaning it was manufactured in 2020) and most of the issues had been accounted. Time will tell.
This was a huge upgrade in taste, coming from a manual grinder (Javapresse). Very pleased so far!

This is my second review, my first 270 just stopped working in just under 1 year. It was covered under the guarantee and was replaced very efficiently, and with no trouble.
All in all I'm happy with the 270 and dont really feel there is another grinder at this price point that is as good. I do have a little concern over reliability, and hope that the replacement I have lasts.

grind quicker that expected. Grinding quality looks good. Design looks as good as on the picture. Not bad! Grinding module is metallic, rest is a plastic. As expected by pricing. Last years or not? Lets see.. In the manual were spare parts listed. Availability of spare parts is unknown.
