Mokaflor Chiaroscura Jamaica Blue Mountain Coffee

The Jamaica Blue Mountains are the home of this Mokaflor Chiaroscura coffee.

From a narrow coastal plain, the blue mountains rise and meet in the center of the island forming a range that crosses the island from east to west. Here altitude and latitude combine to form a climate that is always cool and misty, but never cold , with an exceptionally high rainfall.

The famed Jamaica Blue Mountain coffee variety grows at between 500 and 1.500 metres above sea level within a radius of 20 km from the Blue Mountain Peak. In this mountain area, all the elements come together to create a coffee that perfectly balances aroma, body, acidity and sweetness. The aroma is intense and strong, the flavour is full and fruity.

This coffee has a quite light body without any bitterness and is therefore perfect for brewing methods such as the Hario V60 and the AeroPress.

Mokaflor Chiaroscuro is a concept and product line which combines the Italian tradition to the taste of some of the world's most exclusive coffees. This product line was created by Mokaflor to give importance to some of the most exclusive and best single origin coffees from all over the world.

Mokaflor Coffee Roastery

Mokaflor has always been a family business, today in its third generation. Since 1950 their coffees have been roasted in Via delle Torri in Florence, Italy.

Mokaflor is amongst the founding members of International Women's Coffee Alliance (IWCA) Italia. IWCA Italy was created with the aim of supporting and promoting female empowerment throughout the coffee chain and to enhance and encourage the consumption of sustainably grown coffee.
