The Baratza Virtuoso+ coffee grinder is a new improved version of the classic grinder with a digital grind timer and LCD-display. The 40 mm conical steel burrs give an excellent grinding performance, and the small size makes the grinder an excellent choise for the kitchen at home.
Featuring 40 individual grind settings, you can go from fine to coarse for all the popular brew methods such as espresso, Aeropress, Hario V60, Chemex, French Press, and automatic brewers. The digital grind timer makes it easy to adjust and replicate the ideal grind time for consistent dosing.

A great machine
This was my first grinder ever, and I am extremely pleased with it! It produces consistent grinds, it’s well-built and it’s easy to disassemble and clean. Before purchasing, I had been reading lots of reviews online comparing this model to Baratza Encore (a more budget-friendly version), and many said that the timer and display were unnecessary features. After using this grinder every day (sometimes twice per day) for about a year, I can only say that a timer has been extremely convenient especially when I am in a hurry. I usually grind a similar amount of beans, so adjusting the timer is no big deal. I have never used the pulse feature just because I didn’t need to.
A small tip (thanks, Internet!) if you get static electricity after grinding (meaning your grinded coffee starts flying around the countertop) - wet a spoon, shake off excess water and swirl it in your bean chamber with beans, and it will fix everything!

Got this as a replacement for my old Delonghi KG89. The difference is night and day (as can be expected).
I mainly use this grinder for Chemex and French Press preparation and it seems very well-suited for that. I was definitely able to taste differences between 1-2 grind step changes, which means I was able to tune the grind just right.
Haven't tested it with a proper espresso basket just yet, but based on testing so far it won't have any issues grinding for espresso. Just don't expect to be able to fine tune it like you would be able to with a dedicated espresso grinder.
Ergonomics wise it's good - easy to assemble, minimal static and chaff, relatively quiet. It's a bit on the heavy side, so not exactly easy to switch out beans, but definitely doable.
If you're looking for a pourover grinder (that can make espresso sometimes) this would be a good bet.

BrianThe machine is not the standard I had expected
The machine came out of the factory with slight damages and could not be set up due to lack of finishing. There should be better quality control at the manufacturing place.
The container on top could not be rotated as foreseen as there was a metal part sticking out.
Good upgrade
I used to have the Bodum burr grinder, but after it gave up I was looking for a replacement. This product got good reviews and so far I am very happy with the performance. It feels very solid and qualitative.

Erinomaisen toimiva kahvimylly jos päivittää halvemman pään myllyistä - eron huomaa mihin rahat meni, mutta hinta ei ole paha kun vertaa vielä kalliimpiin. Vanha Wilfa CGS-2 alkoi ärsyttämään mennessään tukkoon kun pienet papujäämät saattoivat tukkia kartioterän muovisuojuksen ympärillä olevat välit ja jauhatus keskeytyi, minkä lisäksi ajastinnappi oli hankala säätää ja pitää säädöissä.
Virtuoso+ on nopea, jauhatusjälki tasainen ja ääni on varsin miellyttävä Wilfaan verrattuna. Ajastin digitaalisella näytöllä on toimiva ja led-valo jauhatussäiliössä on hyödyllinen lisä. Ulkonäkö on jykevä joskin vanhahtava, tulee 90-luku mieleen nimen fontista. Jos moitteita pitäisi antaa, niin jauhetun kahvin säiliössä hieman on muoto edellä menty eikä käytettävyys ole ihan täydellinen (Wilfa oli tässä parempi) mutta siihen tottuu.
Enimmäkseen suodatinkahvikäytössä, Aeropress ja espresso satunnaisesti mutta espressomylly on erikseen. Kaiken kaikkiaan laadukas tuote jolta odotan pitkää käyttöikää!
